Director Mr. Josh Williams
Mr. Josh Williams is excited to be coming back to
Winnetonka as the Director of Bands.
At Winnetonka his duties include directing the Pride Marching Band,
Symphonic Band,
and Concert Band. In addition to his responsibilities at Winnetonka, he
is also the
Director of Bands at Maple Park Middle School.
Mr. Williams began his teaching career in the North Kansas City School
District in the
Fall of 2006 where he was the assistant at Winnetonka High School,
Northgate Middle
School, and Maple Park Middle School. In 2008 he became the Assistant
Director of
Bands at Oak Park and the Director of Bands at Antioch Middle School.
Mr. Williams is a member of Missouri Music Educators Association, Music
Educators
National Conference, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. He remains an active
trombonist,
performing with the Kansas City Wind Symphony, which made its Carnegie
Hall debut
in April of 2008.
Mr. Williams received his Bachelor of Music Education from Central
Missouri State
University (now UCM) in 2006, was a 2002 graduate of Marshfield High
School and is
currently working on his Masters Degree at UCM. His wife, Ashley, is the
Assistant
Band Director at North Kansas City High School and teaches elementary
music at
Nashua. They have a son, Brennan, who was born in 2009.
Assistant Director Ms. Carrie Shuck
Carrie Shuck is excited to be joining The Pride staff as
Assistant
Director and will also have teaching responsibilities at Antioch
Middle School.
Miss Shuck graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with her
Bachelor's (2003) and Master's (2005) degrees. She has previous
teaching experience as the Director of Bands for the Center 58 School
District and the Maysville R-1 School District for a total of six
years.
Miss Shuck currently plays Baritone Saxophone in the Northwinds
Symphonic Band and Platte City Community Band and maintains an active
private studio. In her free time she enjoys photography and cycling.
